Engraved or Acid Etched Stainless-steel Signs
We had a call to reproduce some engraved or acid etched stainless steel plates. Two of the Stainless-steel Engraved sign plates were the name and address of the apartments and the other Stainless steel Engraved sign plate was the history behind the building (see photos). The engraved stainless steel sign plates already there were over 26 years old and as you can see in the images of these were in urgent need of replacement.
The artwork was complex, it took around 3 hours to reproduce, font match and exact design layout, but we soon were on top of that. It was decided to Acid etch engrave the Stainless-steel sign plates, which is basically the same as sand blast engraved or laser engraved but the engrave isn’t as deep as sand blasting or laser engraved signage but the finish and look is the same.
Another challenge was the holes were already there in the stainless-steel engraved sign plates and marble slab wall. So, we had to be exact with hole drilling, which we achieved and installation went smoothly. So, we soon had the new acid etched engraved stainless steel sign plates in place.
